Linking to other Systems

Whilst CARGOMANAGER has been designed to provide a fully integrated solution environment within itself, it is possible to link it with other systems so as to make most effective use of information available elsewhere.

More specifically:

The input file used by CARGOMANAGER (a file holding container and cargo information for a given load), whilst normally being generated as part of a run, can alternatively be read from disk following its generation by other programs. This option can be activated from the main CARGOMANAGER menu (shown above) using the Link File button.

The 9000 product database used by CARGOMANAGER (which holds dimensional and other information on each product which might form part of a load) is of a format which could readily be output from other PC / mainframe systems and used within CARGOMANAGER. Utilities are provided in the software package to input the database from a spreadsheet source. The Item Database is accessed from both the main menu (shown below) and during data entry.

Further information on the Link option can be obtained from G.O.A.L. or via the technical information on the GOAL website.
